Formative Assessment:
- First there will be a discussion at the beginning of the lesson about power and power in relation to the media and gender roles. The essential questions will be discussed at this time. Students will explore the different ways that the media tries to create gender roles.
- Midway through project have students do a mini group critique.
Summative Assessment:
- At the end of the project students will have a final group presentation and critique. Each student will explain how they incorporated the suggestions made by their partner from the mini critique. After that the class will discuss the final pieces' strengths and weaknesses.
